# Modules and Python packages

Install Odoo modules and the Python packages they need from the EasyInstance console. You do not rebuild the instance or edit `requirements.txt`.

## Install Odoo modules

The built-in marketplace works like an app store for your instance. Search, filter and install without leaving your project.

* **Search and filter.** Narrow the list by search term, by one of 14 categories (from Sales and Accounting to POS and Manufacturing) and by publisher.
* **One panel for every action.** Each card shows the module state: installed, to upgrade, to remove or not active. Install, upgrade or uninstall with one click. A confirmation step warns you about dependency conflicts before it applies the change.
* **Several sources.** Install from the marketplace, from a Git repository or from a ZIP URL. Each module remembers where it came from, so upgrades and uninstalls stay clean.

To keep your own modules in Git and deploy them on every push, see [Add custom modules](/easy-instance/custom-modules/).

## Install Python packages

When a module needs a package from PyPI such as `requests` or `openpyxl`, add it from the console.

1. Type the package name in the package field.
2. Select **Install**. A notification shows progress while the package is installed.

You can also:

* **Search your packages.** Every installed package appears in a searchable list with a count.
* **Remove packages.** Select uninstall on a row and the list refreshes in place.
