# Custom domains

Serve your Odoo instance from your own domain. Point the domain at your instance, add it in the dashboard, and EasyInstance issues a free SSL certificate for it.

Both root domains and subdomains are supported.

## What you get

* **Automatic SSL.** Certificates are issued and renewed for you. There is nothing to schedule or maintain.
* **Several domains per instance.** Bind as many hostnames as you need to one instance. Each one gets its own certificate.
* **HTTPS by default.** Plain HTTP requests are always redirected to HTTPS, so visitors land on the secure address.

## Add a domain

1. Point your domain at your deployed Odoo instance using your DNS provider.
2. Add the domain in the instance's dashboard.
3. Wait for the SSL certificate to be issued. The domain then works over HTTPS.

Every new instance also gets an address on `easyinstance.com`, based on the instance name you choose when you [create it](/easy-instance/create-instance/).
