# Get started with Assista X

This page takes you from a new account to your first answer. Assista X is a web app at [x.cybrosys.com](https://x.cybrosys.com), so there is nothing to install.

## What you need

* A Google account. Sign-in uses **Continue with Google**.
* An API key from an AI provider (OpenAI, Anthropic or OpenRouter). See [AI providers](/assista-x/ai-providers/).
* Your Odoo instance URL, database name, username and password. You do not need admin access. See [Connect your Odoo server](/assista-x/connect-odoo/).
* Odoo 16 or later, Community or Enterprise.

## 1. Sign in

1. Open [x.cybrosys.com/login](https://x.cybrosys.com/login). The page says "Your Odoo, Now Smarter".
2. Select **Continue with Google** and choose your Google account.
3. A message confirms "Successfully signed in with Google".

By signing in you agree to the Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy, which are linked at the bottom of the sign-in page. If sign-in fails, you see "Google sign-in failed. Please try again."

## 2. Complete the setup questions

A new account goes through a short three-step setup before you reach the chat. A progress indicator shows the current step.

| 1 | Tell us about yourself | **Professional Role**: CEO/Founder, CTO/Technical Lead, Developer, Manager, Business Analyst, Consultant or Other. **Industry Sector**: Technology, Finance, Healthcare, Retail/E-commerce, Manufacturing, Consulting, Education or Other |
| 2 | Company Information | **Company Name** (free text). **Team Size**: 1-10, 11-50, 51-200, 201-1000 or 1000+ employees |
| 3 | Odoo Integration (Optional) | Select **Connect Odoo ERP System**, then fill in **Server Address**, **Database**, **Username** and **Access Password** |

Use **Next** and **Back** to move between steps, and **Finish** on the last step. The button reads "Setting up..." while your details are saved.

* **Skip for now** on the first step skips the whole setup and takes you to the app.
* Step 3 is optional. If you do not tick the box, the page says "Configuration is optional. You can set this up later."
* If saving fails, the page shows the error, or "Failed to complete setup".

> **Tip.**
>
> Your Odoo server is added to your account when you finish step 3, and it appears in **Settings > Odoo**. You can add more servers later.

## 3. Set up your AI provider

Assista X sends your questions to an AI provider using your own API key. Open **Settings > Provider**, pick a provider, paste your key and choose a model. See [AI providers](/assista-x/ai-providers/) for the full steps. Using your own key needs a plan that includes Bring Your Own Key. See [Plans and billing](/assista-x/plans-and-billing/).

## 4. Connect your Odoo server

If you skipped step 3 of the setup, connect Odoo now. You can do it from the chat page with **Connect Odoo** in the top bar, or from **Settings > Odoo** with **Add Server**. See [Connect your Odoo server](/assista-x/connect-odoo/).

## 5. Ask your first question

1. Open the chat. The greeting changes with the time of day, for example "Good morning".
2. Check that your Odoo server is selected in the top bar. If it is not, you see "Please select an Odoo server from the navbar before sending a message."
3. Type a question in the box that says "Ask anything about your records...", or pick a suggestion such as "Total sales amount for this week...", "Current stock value..." or "List products that are low in stock...".
4. Press `Enter` to send. Use `Shift+Enter` for a new line.
5. Select the stop button to cancel a response in progress. The app shows "Generation stopped".

## The guided tour

After setup, Assista X runs a guided tour that walks through the main controls. You can run it again at any time from **Settings > General** with **Start Tour**.

| :--- | :--- |
| User menu | The menu that opens Settings |
| AI Provider | Where you connect your AI provider |
| Choose a provider | The provider list |
| API key | Where to paste your key. It is stored securely and never shared |
| Odoo tab | Where you connect your Odoo instance |
| Add Odoo server | Where you add the URL, database and credentials |
| Ask anything | The chat box. Type your first question in plain English, for any Odoo module |
| Analyst mode | The toggle for data-heavy questions. See [Analytical mode](/assista-x/ask-questions/#analytical-mode-and-normal-mode) |
| Send it | The send button |

## Tips and limits

* You can change the interface theme in **Settings > Theme**. The choices are **System**, **Light** and **Dark**.
* Your account email and name are shown in **Settings > General**.
* Your plan limits how many Odoo servers you can add. See [Plans and billing](/assista-x/plans-and-billing/).
